05/04/2019 - FESPA Brasil | Digital Printing 2019’s huge success consolidates its position as the main digital printing exhi

Crowded corridors and the turnover generated proved once again that FESPA Brasil | Digital Printing 2019 is by far the country's main digital printing exhibition, surpassing all milestones achieved since the FESPA’s debut in Brazil in 2013.

The figures just confirm this fact: 18,645 unique visitors passed through the Blue Pavilion of Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, between March 20 and 23. These professionals − decision makers in their companies – made plenty of  business deals during the four days of the event, in addition to those that will be closed in the coming months. The exhibition area was expanded and registered a more than 30% growth in order to meet the high demand for space from the segment's suppliers present in this historical edition.

Data show that the market is well aware of the importance of the digital printing within the industry. The high technology presented by the exhibitors and the new applications aroused great interest from a qualified public, which confirms that entrepreneurs are both ready to invest and attentive to the transformations in the industry, and are also looking for alternatives for greater operational efficiency to increase profitability, with faster, flexible, sustainable and resourceful options.

For Alexandre Keese, Managing Director at FESPA Brasil and APS Eventos Corporativos, organizer of the exhibition: "By introducing the breakthroughs within the digital printing market, FESPA Brasil | Digital Printing 2019 brought together new technologies, applications, substrates, finishings, management software and the latest novelties, so that printing professionals can gain efficiency. The exhibition showed how digital printing adds value and opens up opportunities. These were four days of innovations, trends and debates. The visitor has found solutions that can be applied and implemented in their companies."

According to Neil Felton, CEO at FESPA: "We are delighted with another sucessful edition of FESPA in Brazil. The attendance was fantastic. Crowded hallways and business deals generated every day. And once again we have fulfilled our mission through the Profit for Purpose program, which reinvests FESPA's profits in the printing market, by promoting free congresses. We are fully satisfied with the results achieved and expect to surpass them at FESPA Brasil 2020."

Christophe Aussenac, current VP and next President at FESPA, came to Brazil to attend the exhibition and shared his impressions about the event: "It's my first time in the country and I was impressed by the amount of people and the great innovations inside the booths. FESPA wants to go more and more globalized and Brazil is an important part of this project. This is a huge market with a lot of people and great business opportunities."

Preparations for FESPA Brasil | Digital Printing 2020 have already begun. Under the theme "The Power of Printing", the exhibition will be held again at the Blue Pavilion of Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, from March 18-21.

FESPA Brasil promotes high-quality technical conferences

APS Eventos Corporativos and FESPA understand the importance of providing print professionals with a high-quality exhibition and bringing relevant and up-to-date content on the industry landscape by means of figures, techniques and other topics that are part of this industry.

In this regard, free initiatives were promoted during the exhibition. For two days, specialists at the Graphic Intelligence congress talked about management, trends, technology and the strategic issues of the printing business in a full-packed auditorium. At the Digital Printing Academy, in a partnership with Senai, one could learn more about the best practices for dealing with print, prepress, job management and postpress.

The FESPA Digital Textile Conference is already a traditional event and has been promoted for the fifth time. With sponsorship from Global Química & Moda, it was a day of sharing relevant concepts with those who work with digital textile, whether in fashion, clothing in general, signage, decoration and other markets. Sponsor and speaker, Felipe Simeoni, Marketing and Market Intelligence Manager at Global Química & Moda, spoke about the initiative: "We were honored to be invited by the FESPA organization to attend three lectures at the FESPA Digital Textile Conference. It is an event developed with lots of information, content and trends. Speakers and visitors could exchange a lot of experiences and ideas."

Ricardo Lie, Ampla's New Business Director, lectured at the Graphic Intelligence congress: "It is essential to take advantage of a moment when everyone is gathered at the same time and place, doing market research or looking for suppliers and/or knowledge, because only by evolving and raising the awareness of the professionals within this market we will be able to work with increasingly professional solutions and keep industries and clients abreast of the latest developments in the world with regard to digital printing as well as technology and market trends."

Alexandre Keese describes the purpose of the initiatives: "APS and FESPA believe that high relevant content adds value to the new professionals who are visiting the exhibition. That's why we invite entrepreneurs and renowned people to share knowledge and bring business opportunities. We had the technical stuff dealt with by the Digital Printing Academy; new management models were showcased in the Graphic Intelligence congress; digital textile were covered by the Digital Textile Conference, which is a FESPA initiative that takes place around the world and gains more and more expression and importance. Another highlight was the Sublimation Island, with lectures and solutions being showcased."
Sublimation Island

On the Sublimation Island, visitors could follow lectures for four days in an always crowded auditorium, proving that many professionals are glimpsing the sublimation of gifts as a solid business opportunity. ComunidadeWEB, FESPA and APS Eventos Corporativos were partners in the initiative.

Alex and Ludmilla Falcão, Co-owners at ComunidadeWEB, stress: "Our purpose in participating in exhibitions focused on the large format is to show the growing importance of the small format, which has been introduced fairly into the market, whether in sublimation, transfer or even handicrafts. The segment has been yielding differentiated results, with a top final product nonetheless. The Sublimation Island of ComunidadeWEB / FESPA Brasil has unified and strengthened this movement, showing positive and growing results since last year, which makes us believe that this is the way to go. It is a guaranteed success for all its participants."

WS Adesivações is two-time champion at the CAMBEA #9

Four days of fierce competition and one of the most exciting finals in history. CAMBEA #9 took place within FESPA Brasil and gave its champion, that is, its two-time champion: the WS Adesivações team, formed by Francisco Wellington da Silva and José Rafael Xavier, from Fortaleza (CE).

By a very tight difference, Gênesis Envelopamento, from Rio Grande do Sul took the second place; the duo from GRC Adesivação, from Paraná ranked third. In this way, WS took the CAMBEA #9 trophy and qualified to compete in the World Wrap Masters Series to be realized in the city of Munich, Germany, during the FESPA in May.

The pair spoke about the victory: "Once again we represent the Northeast region at the CAMBEA and we want to thank God, our sponsor Abude Comunicação Visual, as well as Alltak’s and CAMBEA’s organization staff; everyone is to be congratulated," said Rafael. Wellington celebrated: "It really is a great event, it is a huge satisfaction to be able to take part and win the title. We only have to thank God and all the people who have always supported us. We are very happy."

Marcelo Souss, organizer of the CAMBEA #9, spoke about the quality of the competition: "This year, the CAMBEA #9 had a particularity: the final was the same as that of last edition with the first two places being fiercely competed  by teams from Rio Grande do Sul and Ceará. There were 24 teams registered, with four cars in the arena. The interesting thing was the very tight competition, with only a five-point difference. I am thrilled and I am sure that the event was incredible. And let's warm up because the CAMBEA #10 is around the corner! From March 18-21, 2020 at the same place. We will be waiting for you!"

FESPA Brasil’s Managing Director, Alexandre Keese, speaks about the size of the CAMBEA today: "The ninth edition of the CAMBEA was special. After all, we are talking about the largest automotive competition there is today, which for four days brought together competitors from all over Brazil and even other countries. We were able to analyze the quality available within the market, combined with the efficiency in the application stuff. In addition to the creative competitions, we’ve got the winner who will compete in the Wrap Masters held at FESPA in Germany."
