10/02/2014 - Brazil records lowest unemployment rate

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released further data showing the positive momentum being experienced by the country and its population. This time, the positive news is the lowest unemployment rate since 2002 when analysis began: 4.3% in 2013.

In comparison with other emerging countries and economic powers, Brazil (4.3%) stands out with one of the lowest rates: United States (6.7%), Germany (5.1%), France (10.9%), Russia (5.6%), South Africa (24.7%), UK (7.1%), China (4%), and the average in the Euro zone is 12%.

The result for Brazil is the lowest rate since the IBGE started analyzing data. Workers’ salaries have also recorded an increase, as well as the number of work cards signed in 2013, with more than 11.5 million workers.

The high number of Brazilian employed is reflected in the high consumption. The data indicates that Brazilian companies will have an excellent year in 2014, with the increase in the population in the middle class being reflected in the acquisition and consumption of goods and services that were previously out of reach.

Because of this demand, the need to invest in advertising also grows. Some areas get noticed, like those included at FESPA Brasil 2015: visual communication, signage, large formats, screen printing, clothing, digital printing, and more.

FESPA Brasil is a special opportunity to invest in Brazil and to be sure of a good return. The fair takes place between March 18 and 21, 2015, at the Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, and will bring together the major companies in the area of visual communication.
